The 24nd Annual Smith Mountain Lake Antique and Classic Boat Festival
SEPTEMBER 12 &14, 2014
Mariner’s Landing Conference Center - Huddleston, Virginia
Excellent food, interesting vendors and friendly people will welcome you to this spectacular location on Smith
Mountain Lake! This great resort, with first class accommodations, docking, dining, and ambience promises to
make this one of the best shows yet! Come and enjoy antique and classic boats and other enthusiasts.
On Friday, you’ll have time to cruise beautiful Smith Mountain Lake and have a catered buffet lunch at The
Pointe with other antique boaters. During the afternoon Dave VanNess of VanNess Engineering will present a
seminar on rebuilding engines. He is renowned for his work rebuilding boat and car engines throughout the
country. Then wind down at an evening social to share your antique boating tales with other enthusiasts.
On Saturday, it’s show day and time to showcase your boat for the public. Throughout the day, we will have
entertainment, vendors and crafts. As always, we will have souvenir shirts, antique boat merchandise and other
items on sale at our ship's store. For the kids, we will have a “decorate and sail your boat” activity and our
annual Youth Judging Event. There will also be a display of antique and custom cars for you to view as well. In
the evening, following a delicious banquet dinner in the ballroom at Mariner’s Landing Conference Center, the
day’s events will be reviewed and awards presented.
On Sunday, you’ll have time to enjoy the Lake and visit with friends.
We will continue our local judging format that will eliminate multiple awards and recognize excellence in
many categories. We welcome antique and classic boats of all types, interests and conditions.
